No one has the right to fight on the Marina coast - Supreme Court

மெரினா கடற்கரையில் போராட்டம் நடத்த யாருக்கும் அனுமதி இல்லை - சுப்ரீம் கோர்ட்New Delhi:

In January 2017, the struggle of Tamils in the Marina coast of Chennai ended in a victory over the ban imposed by the Central Government.

After the struggle, the Tamil Nadu government banned protests and public meetings in Marina.

In this case, the South Indian rivers Association of Agricultural Farmers Association Ayyakannu filed a petition in the Chennai High Court to grant only one day to take part in the Marina coast.

The Tamil Nadu government has filed a suit in the Madras High Court against the sanction of a separate judge. The petition was canceled by the Special Judge. The Court has dismissed Ayyakannu's petition, saying that it can not interfere with the Tamil Nadu government's decision to protect law in the Marina case.

Following this, Ayyakannu filed a petition in the Supreme Court seeking permission to protest in Marina.

The Supreme Court Judge today questioned the petition and can not permit anyone to hold a protest in Marina. They have categorically stated that they will not be able to intervene in the decision of the Tamil Nadu Government who will not be allowed to hold a protest in Marina.

Furthermore, the Supreme Court has dismissed the appeal petition filed by the South Indian River Connection Association with the same request. #SCrefuses #TNgovtban #protestsinMarina #Marinaprotests
